Professor in Public Health, and Director of the National Institute for Health Innovation (NIHI), University of Auckland (New Zealand)

Chris Bullen is a Professor in Public Health at the University of Auckland (UoA), in Auckland, New Zealand, and the Director of the National Institute for Health Innovation (NIHI)) at UoA, a multidisciplinary research group with a focus on digital innovation, evidence and evaluation. He conducts applied research in the interdisciplinary field of addictions, digital health and global health. Professor Bullen is a physician and public health medicine specialist by training. He received his doctorate from the University of Auckland for research on tobacco cessation and has recognised expertise in this area. He has authored over two hundred journal papers, book chapters and refereed conference papers. He has been involved at the governance level with national and international professional bodies and health non-governmental organisations.
