Renata Reis is a Policy / Advocacy professional with 15 years of experience. She is currently the Deputy General Director (Latin America) in the humanitarian organization Doctors Without Borders (MSF), where she works in contexts such as Venezuela, Bolivia, Nicaragua and Brazil. She was responsible for Institutional Relations and advocacy at MSF Brazil for 5 years. She was project / advocacy coordinator and lawyer at the Brazilian AIDS Interdisciplinary Association - ABIA, where she coordinated REBRIP's Intellectual Property Working Group, which brought together 17 civil society organizations, for 7 years. She holds a PhD in Public Policy, Strategies and Development at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro - UFRJ, with a thesis on Lobby in the National Congress. She has a degree in Journalism and Law and a Master's in Social Policy from the State University of Northern Fluminense Darcy Ribeiro - UENF. She is a professor of Advocacy and Humanitarian Aid at Pontifícia Universidade Católica - Rio de Janeiro. She is a member of the board of CONECTAS Human Rights.
